Camden Women’s Shelter will provide safe, supported accommodation (for up to 3 months) for women and children in times of homelessness or escaping domestic violence.

Camden Council is supportive of the initiative and has offered the Board a 20 year lease on a 3 bedroom cottage. The cottage is in poor condition however community response to a ‘shout out’ for support and trades has been amazing. Thanks to the generosity of our community the Board is able to not only proceed with the refurbishment of the cottage, but also construct a 2 bedroom secondary dwelling at the rear of the cottage.

Up to 5 women and their children will be housed each night.
