Christmas Appeal 2025

The festive season is a time for joy, family, and hope, but for many women and children escaping domestic violence, it can be one of the hardest times of the year.

This year, we are continuing to give the gift of freedom, independence and choice to women and children at our shelter. We are asking for gift cards* so residents can shop for themselves and their families. It may seem small, but for people experiencing DFV, having the power to choose is often taken away.

In addition, we are building on funds raised by students at Oran Park High School to replace the shelter TV. A TV in our common room is a simple lifeline. It helps families unwind, catch up on news, enjoy a movie together and feel a bit more at home.

*Please note: Gift cards may be used where most needed across Camden Women’s Shelter to best support our residents and programs.
